Yeah. A year, to be precise, since I last spent much time on this little blog of ours. I have lots of excuses for staying away so long, but the bottom line is that I'd like to pick it up again.
Our "Big Trip" (as the kids have been calling it since February) is just behind us, so I thought this would be as good a time as any to begin postings. Lots of pictures to use, lots of stories I want to remember, lots of family reconnected with. So, here it goes...
Where to begin...
How about some photos. Everyone likes those.
One of the scheduled events that we were able to participate in was the Clawson Family Reunion. It included about 50 people, including my Grandparents, their 6 children and their spouses, their children and their spouses, and the new generation of teens, children, and babies that are in our midst. All told, four entire and complete generations were there, with only 3 absent from the festivities. Considering the wide geography that separates us, and the diversity in life situations (age, finances, health, employment), it was a pretty amazing gathering of our loved ones.

And now I remember why blogging has been non-existent in recent months. I started this post almost 5 hours ago. Since sitting down to write, I have stopped to break up countless squabbles, make-serve-clean-up a meal, read two books aloud plus a long chapter of another, supervised teeth brushing, scripture reading, bedtime prayers, goodnight kisses, another drink of water and... Now my motivation to write has passed. And I am tired. And I think I am ready for bed, myself. So, I will attempt another go at this later. For now, I am going to give myself credit for trying.
Sometimes it is the thought that counts.
Right?
