Casey has been wiggling her tooth for a few weeks now... It was actually starting to make me a little bonkers, since it seemed like it was sooooo close to falling out at any minute but she just wouldn't finish the job. :) The night before it actually came out, she was wiggling it with her tongue and declared that she would lay it flat in her mouth, flatter than the wheelchair ramp at the church sidewalk. I thought that was remarkably descriptive. Anyway, it finally made it's big exit, and it was thrilling to Casey. She could not stop grinning.
Practicing whistling... Casey was happy to find that she is still the best whistler in our family.
More smiling... She was just so happy with herself. Every once in a while she would come to ask me "Is this just a dream or is it real?" She was just feeling so pleased. I am looking forward to seeing how excited she gets when she finally gets her training wheels off. Or when she learns how to jump-rope. Or when she makes the team, or gets her driver's licence, or goes to her first dance, or all the great things she has to look forward to.
The Tooth Fairy left her with 4 shiny quarters and a pretty notecard.
