Happy Birthday, Uncle Trent

A family tradition that we love to participate in is this: Every year, on Trent's birthday (June 21st) we go ride the go-karts. I know I have written about our go-kart experiences before, but this one was a little different because Grandpa was able to join us.

The competition was fierce (as always). Trent was not there to help us celebrate, as he is in Idaho with his awesome wife. But we will always love having his B-day as an excuse to head to the track.

Brian and Grandpa proclaim their victory in the first race of the evening.
Chris and Casey rounding one of the tight corners...
Grandma and Casey in the green double-cart... They look nice here, but are unforgiving competitors on the track. Don't let their pretty smiles fool you.
Dad (Grandpa) and Chris both got the No Bumping sign on this trip around the track. If you are caught breaking the "no bumping" rules, the workers flag you down with this sign... It's become quite the useful phrase in our house these past few years. I honestly think that one of Abby's first sentences was "You got the No Bumping sign, Grandpa." Seriously.
Hopefully TC will be here sometime when we celebrate his birthday. Until then, we'll just keep using those punch-cards at the raceway.
